Nursing Assistant (CNA) This course covers the physical comfort and safety functions specific to a Nursing Assistant, including modules on patient care procedures for geriatric and adult patients, patient rights, laws providing patient privacy & confidentiality, infection control, nutrition, physical and social support, legal and ethical considerations and documentation. Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) This program is designed to teach students the skills necessary for employment as a CMA in a medical facility, such as hospitals, clinics, or doctor’s offices. A qualified CMA is capable of performing a wide range of duties, thus assisting the physician in many ways. Clinical duties include: asepsis and infection control, taking patient histories and vital signs, performing CPR and First Aid, preparing patients for procedures, assisting the physician with examinations and treatments, collecting specimens and administering and explaining medications, as directed by the physician.
