Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) This course provides phlebotomy instruction to the student with a working knowledge of collecting blood and other specimens with emphasis on patient safety, quality assurance and universal and standard precautions. This course utilizes a lecture, clinical laboratory, and demonstrated methodology and prepares students for the National Health Career Association (NHA) certification exam, which is given at PMTC once a month. Online Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) We are now offering the option to learn the Pharmacy Tech curriculum at home with a live instructor. Our "hybrid" course is a combination of online learning and 2 classroom meetings for hands-on skills with an instructor. This course provides the student with the skills that are important when assisting the pharmacist in the preparation and dispensing of medications. Students will be trained on how to interpret prescription hard copies, pharmacy calculations, pharmacy laws, compounding, and packaging of medications. Students will be provided with the information on how to become a registered technician.
