This course provides phlebotomy instruction to the student with a working knowledge of collecting blood and other specimens with emphasis on patient safety, quality assurance and universal and standard precautions. This course utilizes a lecture, clinical laboratory, and demonstrated methodology and prepares students for the National Health Career Association (NHA) certification exam, which is given at PMTC once a month. After the successful completion of this 12-week course, (84 Classroom/Lab Hours, 30 Venipunctures, 10 Capillary Sticks), students will receive a certificate of completion from PMTC, needed to take the national certification exam given by the  NHA.

*Must have proof of BLS/CPR Certification before Certificate of Completion will be issued.

Two-Day Refresher Course

We are now offering a 2 day refresher course for phlebotomy!

This is only available for students that have already completed a phlebotomy class or let their certification lapse within the last 2 years.
