This 4 week course (28 hours) introduces students to the basic categories of medications and the principles on how to safely administer medications to patients. Medication technicians typically work in long term care or assisted living facilities. Med techs usually work under the supervision of nurses. Upon successful completion of the course students will receive a certificate of completion.
